Steps to Fix Rigid Relationships Error

First search and open Visual Studio

      

·         Go to “File” in the top left corner, then go to “Open”, and click on “Analysis Service Database”

·         Select the Datavision Database and click “OK”

·         It will take a couple of minutes to open, but one it opens you will see the list of dimensions on the right-hand side. There you can select the dimension that is having the issue by double clicking in it (in this case it is POS 1 Discount)

·         Switch to the second tab which is called “Attribute Relationships”

·         At the bottom there will be a list with all the levels. If you click one, there will be a window on the right side where is says what type of relationship it has

·         Click on “Rigid” and a drop-down arrow will show. Click this arrow and you will be able to change it from “Rigid” to “Flexible”

 

·         Do this for all the levels and remember to save it before you exit.

 

·         After this go into SSAS and process update the dimension that you just fixed.
