Below is a brief description of what needs to happen when the Givex file is late or is not received by Givex. I am typing this up for all in the office so they are aware of the steps.
Whenever we receive these types of messages, we need to deal with them the same day so that it does not become a bigger problem. In this case, the Givex.txt file was generated just before the time that the Givex export runs. It was generated at 7:17am The export is set to run at 730 am so I am guessing that the copy to srcdata did not complete until after 730.
We need to log in to the property after the SMSPMS interface runs, change the name of the givex.txt file located in the SRCDATA folder to something like Givex20190820.txt. This saves the file so it does not get overwritten on the 21st when it runs normally.
Then you include this in the handover so whoever is on duty in the afternoon in the US can update the file after the 21st data is complete. The US support team will then open the Givex.txt file and the Givex20190820.txt file, take the data from the Givex20190820.txt file and append it to the end of the Givex.txt file in the Srcdata folder prior to 730am local. We can then send an update to Givex stating that the data will be appended to today’s file.
