Recently I was setting up some initial reports on a brand new server.  The latest version of the Addin was installed, regular F9 is working and individual formulas are working, but Alt F9 just shows the calculate dialog, as below:

Excellent question.  Of course the first thing to check is for anything in the Writeback queue.  Alt-F9 holds calculations until all pending writes for the current user are complete, either Done of Failed.  Normally, you can see this by to Addins->Datavision->Options->DVUpload Status, but in your case, I'm sure you have already done this.  So the next thing to check, does the DVENTERPRISE database contain a StagingRequest/Staging table?  At Flemings, the table set had not been created.  A quick trip to the SQL scripts for setting up DVENTERPRISE database later, we all lived happily ever after.
